More marble games!
February 22, 2020
A while back we wrote a post about some classic, modern, marble games. We thought now was a good time to share more fun marble games with you!
Cat’s Eye –
This is vintage! I remember playing this at my grandma’s house as a child. 🙂 The game: 4 players’ marbles are dumped into a hopper. Each player pushes a button as fast as they can to fill a channel with 5 marbles. They can take the marbles of their own color to put in their tray, which is cat-shaped. Then, dump the other marbles back into the hopper and keep pressing. Fill your tray with your own marbles (plus the “cat’s eye”) and win.
Ker Plunk
In order to play, players must push 30 of the included thin sticks through the small holes in the middle of a plastic tube. You must then pour the 32 included marbles on top of the sticks. Players take turns removing sticks one at a time, but you must do so carefully. The player who causes the marbles to fall to the bottom loses the game. This blast from the past is a fun game to play for 2-4 players.
The Labyrinth Wooden Maze Game
This is a game that teaches patience, balance, and steady, precise movements. The set consists of a box with a maze on top with holes and a steel marble. Your objective is to try to tilt the playing field to guide the marble to the end of the maze, without letting it fall into any of the holes. Challenge yourself to find the best path and complete the puzzle in the fastest time!
These are just a few more fun games – maybe you’ve heard of them, maybe you haven’t, but who doesn’t love a family game night! We also found a site where you can create your own games if you prefer to do so: https://lifestyle.howstuffworks.com/crafts/home-crafts/marble-games-for-kids.htm
And don’t forget to check out our marble display which has many games like these on display!
