Coney Island Display
Coney Island, nestled along the banks of the Ohio River, is a true legend in its own time. With its beginnings dating back to 1886, Coney is beloved by multiple generations of families.
We recently unveiled a remarkable 1,000 square foot replica of historic Coney Island Amusement Park located on our second-level overlook. Anything but small, the Coney Island replica recreates the park as it was in 1965 featuring the Shooting Star roller coaster (40 feet long and 4 feet tall) and the Ferris Wheel (nearly 4 feet tall). All rides and attractions in the Coney Island display are based on historic photos and dimensions of the classic rides created in a 1/24th scale.
Built by hand from scratch, the Coney Island replica features working rides from Coney’s past; the Lost River, Flying Rockets, Tumblebug, Sky Ride, Lake Como train ride and Carousel, just to name a few.
In addition to the classic Coney Island rides, other features from the amusement park’s golden age include Coney’s iconic entranceway, the famed Coney mall with its perfectly trimmed Ginkgo trees, a Haunted House, Lake Como, Moonlite Gardens, Skeeball and arcade games, basketball games, shooting gallery, and the Ohio River Gate with its steamboat landing.
Anyone who has enjoyed Coney Island over the years will instantly recognize the park’s treasured attractions of the past.
Get in on the fun!
With nearly a dozen interactive buttons throughout the Coney Island exhibit, you can engage with the attractions to make rides move, lights blink, and music play.
